Abstract
Melanie Tervalon is a noted activist, physician, and educator, a former member of the Third World Women’s Alliance, Angela Davis Defense Committee, and Venceremos Brigade, and creator of the “cultural humility” framework for anti-oppressive medical care. The collection consists of speeches made by Tervalon, primarily on reproductive health and other medical issues of importance to women and the Black community.
