India: Girls Town, circa 1960-1969
Scope and Contents
Girls Town is a home for homeless girls run by the YWCA of Madras, India. The home provides the girls with shelter, lessons and meals. Photographs show the daily activities of the girls in the home such as gardening, meals, prayers, chores and their daily walk to school. Additional photographs include images of potential new arrivals.
