India: Women at work, circa 1923-1973
Scope and Contents
Young women's Christian associations in India provide job skills training, materials and guidance to empower women to be able to earn their own money and participate in a trade. Most of the photographs show women engaged in weaving or textile craft and one photograph shows young women in the Employment Bureau at the YWCA in Bombay, India.
