Employed women: Business Office Culture Project, 1968-1970
Scope and Contents
The Business Office Culture Project was a special project of the National Board of the YWCA of the USA in cooperation with the United States Department of Labor to provide women age 17-25 with training in office skills and culture to increase their confidence and employability. Classes included training in speech, poise, typing, math, mimeograph, punch cards, and job interviews. Participating clubs were located in Dallas, Texas, Mt. Vernon, New York, St. Louis, Missouri, Tacoma, Washington, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
