American Committee and Joint Committee: Formation of National Board, 1905-1907
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the American Committee's involvement with the Joint Committee and the formation of the YWCA of the U.S.A. National Board. Proceedings and reports recommend that the American Committee affiliated groups unite with the International Board resulting in the National Board of the Young Women's Christian Association. Additional materials concern the decision to unite, recommendations for moving forward and background information on the merger. Also included are summaries of the agreement between the International Board and the American Committee and blank applications for association membership.

However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant.
