National Board and executive committee minutes and reports, 1947 December-1949 December
Scope and Contents
Minutes and reports of the National Board of the YWCA of the U.S.A. and its executive committee. Minutes concern national business, budgets and finance, committee business, fundraising, approval of new clubs, convention planning, resolutions and recommendations and personnel. The meetings address many topics but the issue of spending and budgeting is always prominent in the materials. "Caution," a report from March 1949, urges caution in spending and budgeting capital funds. In addition to meeting minutes, materials include reports from committees, summaries of studies, lists of actions and resolutions, updates on international work, and reports on cooperation with other organizations. Throughout the minutes and reports, the organization of the YWCA of the U.S.A., its Christian basis for membership and its programming is under constant analysis and study.
