East Central Field Committee minutes and reports, 1907 November-1917
Scope and Contents
Minutes and reports of the field work committee and its secretaries for the east central field, covering Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Reports from the industrial, student, city and county and office secretaries detail the condition of existing associations and populations served, make recommendations for improvements, summarize their trips and comment on the general needs of the region. Executive secretary reports summarize the work of all field secretaries and the program emphases of the regional work. Development of extension work, or work with industrial girls, is a prominent topic throughout the documents. As World War I approaches, more discussion is given to serving employed women as well as foreign and immigrant populations.
