Scope and Contents

Minutes and reports from the YWCA of the U.S.A. Ohio and West Virginia Field committees. Field work of the YWCA of the U.S.A. unites local associations in the purpose of the YWCA, assists emerging and existing associations, and serves as a bridge between the National YWCA and local associations. Narrative reports from the field secretaries provide an overview of their work in the field by reporting on condition of local associations, relationships with other organizations and the community, social problems faced by women and girls in the area, and other matters. In addition, minutes and reports address personnel matters, finance and budgets, building and facilities, and other items regarding management and administration. Materials address increasing needs for work with foreign and immigrant populations as well as in the employed and industrial areas. In West Virginia much attention is given to working with mining towns and the unique situations faced in those communities.
