Scope and Contents

Minutes and reports from the YWCA of the U.S.A. Pacific Coast Field Committee. Field committees unite local associations under the general purposes and missions of the National YWCA, assist with emerging and established local associations, arrange conferences and camps and oversee fundraising campaigns. Materials include reports from field secretaries, narrative reports that summarize work with local associations, make recommendations and requests for personnel and finance, report on association program, assess the state of local associations and assess the needs of local populations. The Pacific Coast Field sees an increase in work with immigrants throughout the materials. In particular, there is a great need for work with Japanese immigrants, especially in California. Following World War I work with immigrants and work in other countries continues to be a focus.
