South Central Field Committee minutes and reports, 1919 November-1922 January
Scope and Contents
Minutes and reports from the YWCA of the U.S.A. South Central Field Committee. Field committees unite local associations under the general purposes and missions of the National YWCA, assist with emerging and established local associations, arrange conferences and camps, and oversee fundraising campaigns. Materials include reports from field secretaries. These narrative reports summarize work with local associations, make recommendations and requests for personnel and finance, report on association program, assess the state of local associations, and assess the needs of local populations. These materials show continued emphasis on student associations and growth with industrial and employed women and the addition of a formal committee for "colored work" to work with African American branches, camps and conferences.
