Scope and Contents

Minutes and reports from the YWCA of the U.S.A. South Central Field Committee. Field committees unite local associations under the general purposes and missions of the National YWCA, assist with emerging and established local associations, arrange conferences and camps, and oversee fundraising campaigns. Materials include reports from field secretaries. These narrative reports summarize work with local associations, make recommendations and requests for personnel and finance, report on association program, assess the state of local associations, and assess the needs of local populations. In 1921 the Southwestern Field Committee continues work with Mexican International Institutes and also increases work with African American and Native American girls. The student field continues to be a large focus for the region.
