Business and Professional Committee minutes and reports, 1918-1950
Scope and Contents
This series is consists of two sets of records. The first (origially contained on reels 1, 1a and part of reel 2) contains the records of two predecessor organizations, which came together to form the YWCA of the USA in 1906: the International Board, and the American Committee of Young Women's Christian Associations.
The second set of records consists of minutes and reports of the YWCA of the USA. The minutes and reports are roughly in alphabetical order by committee or department.

Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
