Scope and Contents

The National Support Committee of the national Board of the YWCA of the U.S.A. is responsible for securing funds for the work of the National Board in the United States and internationally. This includes fundraising activities, developing policy and procedure for the collection and use of contributions, soliciting and obtaining gifts from individuals and organizations, working with local associations in collecting their contributions and securing bequests and endowments. In addition, the committee discusses communication plans to local associations to emphasize the importance of national contributions and the support the National Board provides to local associations.

However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
