Scope and Contents

The National Intercollegiate Christian Council, or N.I.C.C., is a council of representatives from national and regional student Christian movements uniting the movement under common purpose and goals and facilitating cooperation among student Christian groups. Staff meetings include discussion and reports on staff training and support needs, the role of staff in the student Christian movement, cooperation with other organizations and national and international concerns important to student members. In additions the staff meetings address plans for the schedule and content of national student assemblies.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.

However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
