National Student Council Eagles Mere Region and Student Christian Movement of the Middle Atlantic Region minutes and reports, 1922-1941
Scope and Contents
Regional councils of the National Student Council of the YWCA of the U.S.A. are responsible for regional policy making, maintaining the relationship between local student associations and the National Student Council and maintaining the regional budget and staff. The Eagles Mere region covers the Middle Atlantic region. Beginning around 1934 interest in a cooperative student Christian movement rose to such an extent that commissions and provisional councils are organized to study and assess the functionality. The resulting organization, the Student Christian Movement of the Middle Atlantic Region, unites the student Christian campus groups including the YMCA and YWCA and connects the regional groups to the national and world student Christian movements. Minutes and reports after 1934 are from the Student Christian Movement of the Middle Atlantic Region.
