Scope and Contents

Regional councils of the National Student Council of the YWCA of the U.S.A. are responsible for regional policy making, maintaining the relationship between local student associations, the National Student Council and maintaining the regional budget and staff. The Seabeck region covers the Pacific Northwest territory. Joint meetings with the regional YMCA council encourage collaboration across issues shared by men and women college students of the area. Seabeck Regional Council meetings and reports include discussion of regional conference plans, reports from commissions and committees, discussion of the social, economic, religious and political issues affecting its members, and budget and staffing reviews. Also included are minutes and reports of the Student Christian Movement of the Pacific Northwest, and council unifying the student Christian groups of the region and connecting them to the national and international student Christian movements.
