Business and professional women, 1920-1948
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the YWCA of the U.S.A. National Council of Business and Professional Women. The National Council organizes and conducts business for the department as a whole and communicates emphasis and program to be used by local Business and Professional associations. National Projects is a program from the National Council that creates program materials, bulletins, and discussion guides for topics of emphasis. Local associations can then subscribe to a project and incorporate the materials into their program. Project topics include public policy, citizenship, religion, participation, labor organization, worker education, minority groups, cooperative movement, freedom of speech, youth movements, and more. Other materials include studies and reports of local associations and the working girl, replies to a survey on programming, and National Council handbooks.
