Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the Eleventh National Convention of the Young Women's Christian Associations of the United States of America. Materials include reports and summaries of group discussions, the proposed program of study for the Public Affairs department, worship service programs, a program for an international night, and a general overview of the convention for those planning on attending. Group discussion topics include service to small and large associations, work in rural areas, association membership and health education. Matters of public affairs for the upcoming convention include the labor movement, immigration policies, political positions and more. The Public Affairs department adopts the following program emphases for the coming years: working conditions, international relations, immigration, maternal and infant welfare, public education, observance of prohibition and the responsibilities of citizenship.
