Scope and Contents

Official proceedings the Twelfth National Convention of the Young Women's Christian Associations of the United States of America. These detailed proceedings follow the convention from opening remarks to final adjournment. Worship services, devotional exercises and addresses are made by both YWCA of the U.S.A. members and special guests. Proceedings also follow convention business, motions for resolutions and actions, and elections and nominations of positions. Discussion and addresses concern social issues of the time including racism and a resolution on mob violence; work with immigrants and international work; the present economic and unemployment situation; and the role of Christianity in the social agenda of the YWCA of the U.S.A. Actions and resolutions are further summarized in a published report following the proceedings.
