Scope and Contents

Thirteenth National Convention of the Young Women's Christian Associations of the United States of America call to convention, program and bulletins. Daily bulletins, distributed to each delegate in attendance, provide updates on convention activities and special events, make announcements, and share news or updates in short article form. In addition, daily bulletins have a detailed schedule for the day. The series of bulletins sent to delegates prior to the convention are intended to prepare them for convention by sharing background information, informing recipients of guidelines and procedures for selecting delegates, and asking delegates to reflect on certain topics or discussion questions. This information also includes discussion of the proposed emphasis in program for the upcoming biennium. Focus for the convention discussion includes unemployment and the current economic situation, finance and organization of the YWCA of the U.S.A., adoption and application of the revised Social Ideals of the Churches, the alternate personal basis for membership, international relationships and cooperation, and work with minority groups.
