Scope and Contents

Documents concerning group meetings, workshops, and vesper services at the Seventeenth National Convention of the Young Women's Christian Associations of the United States of America. Meetings of special interest groups at the convention discuss and present on topics of unique importance. The newly formed Agricultural Council brings together delegates to discuss labor issues for agricultural families, problems of reaching and engaging rural women and girls, economic challenges of rural communities, education opportunities in rural areas and more. Presentations at the agricultural group meeting include reports from several agricultural industries and areas of interest. A convention summary provides an overview of the entire convention proceedings and discussions under the theme of "One world under God." Convention workshops provide opportunities for delegates to learn about several aspects of YWCA work or current issues of importance including counseling services and cooperation at local YWCA's, sex education and family life education, financing YWCA of the U.S.A., household employment, and music programing.
