Scope and Contents

Pages 1 through 269 of the stenotype proceedings of the Eighteenth National Convention of Young Women's Christian Associations of the United States of America. Detailed proceedings of the business sessions at the convention. Convention business sessions are a chance for delegates representing local associations to hear presentations and reports and adopt resolutions regarding YWCA activities or political standings and elect leadership. Following a standards study and the recommendations of the Constitution Commission from past conventions, the proposed revised constitution is presented and voted on at the convention. Remarks from delegates reporting on program concern the student movements and interracial practices, international cooperation and post-war conditions, comments on the United State's relationship with Germany, and remarks from a delegate from Burma.
