Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the Agricultural Assembly and the Business and Professional Assembly of the Eighteenth National Convention of the Young Women's Christian Associations of the United States of America. The assemblies meet to discuss matters of national importance, unite under an agreed upon program, elect leaders, and revise or adopt constitutions. The emphases of the YWCA of the U.S.A. Agricultural Council are providing an opportunity to bring together rural girls and women from all backgrounds, work towards equal education and health opportunities in rural communities, and the cooperation with other parts of the YWCA of the U.S.A. The Business and Professional Assembly bulletins provide an overview of past program emphases in addition to information regarding the topics to be discussed at the upcoming convention. The focus of the assembly is on international relations, their relationship to the other YWCA of the U.S.A. divisions and groups, economic concerns, and the role of women in the professional workplace. In addition, joint sessions with the Industrial Assembly are discussed.
