Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the National Employed Women's Coordinating Assembly and Student Assembly at the Eighteenth National Convention of Young Women's Christian Associations. In the years leading up to the Eighteenth Convention, a National Employed Women's Coordinating Council and Assembly was discussed and later adopted. The purpose of the new council and assembly is to unite the Business and Professional Assembly and Council and the Industrial Council and Assembly under matters of mutual concern. The individual councils and assemblies still exist and meet to address matters of individual concern. Documents address the formation and structure of the new bodies in addition to reports from the Industrial Council and Business and Professional Council. The Student Assembly meets to discuss matters unique to them, vote on and adopt resolutions and elect leadership. As in past assemblies, the relationship of the Student Division to the YWCA National Board and local associations is discussed in addition to their cooperation with other organizations.
