Scope and Contents

Correspondence and discussion regarding proposed revisions to the constitution of the YWCA of the U.S.A. led by the Constitution Commission. Continuing from the Seventeenth National Convention's standards study results, the YWCA of the U.S.A. Constitution Commission sends out drafts of the constitution to local associations seeking advice. Presentations are made at regional conferences to gather reaction and suggestions from members. In addition, the commission reaches out to Oliver C. Reynolds for legal advice regarding the language of the drafted constitution and bylaws. Digests of responses from discussions with local associations, Mr. Reynolds, and regional associations are included at the end of each section. The constitution revisions will be considered at the convention.
