Conventions, twentieth, 1955 April
Scope and Contents
Stenotype proceedings of the Twentieth National Convention of the Young Women's Christian Associations of the United States of America. The detailed proceedings follow general convention sessions beginning with opening remarks through the beginning of the Friday evening session (page 173 of the proceedings). As the YWCA of the U.S.A. celebrates the centennial of women's work in America, the focus of the convention is on progress and history of the YWCA of the U.S.A. and how that applies to current work. The role of the Christian women and organization is mentioned and discussed throughout.
