Copyrights, counseling, data and statistics, and dedication services, 1912-1950
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the YWCA of the U.S.A.'s requests for copyright, counseling services, the YWCA of the U.S.A. Data and Statistics Department, and dedication services. The Womans Press, the publishing division of the YWCA of the U.S.A., corresponds with the Library of Congress Copyright Office to make inquiries regarding their copyright statutes and requests copyright on their publications. Responses from the Library of Congress include excerpts from the rules and policies governing the materials in question. Counseling materials concern the YWCA of the U.S.A.'s services to individuals needing counseling from trained women. Memorandums, correspondence, and other documents discuss how the services fit into the YWCA purpose, the needs of individual groups such as young girls and employed women, and cooperation with other service providers such as Traveler's Aid. The YWCA of the U.S.A. Data and Statistics Department collects, analyzes and interprets information from local associations. Results are used to form narrative reports regarding the overall performance of the YWCA of the U.S.A., assess how individual and association needs are being met and plan the program emphases. Dedication programs celebrating anniversaries and new buildings are arranged alphabetically by city.
