Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the National YWCA of India, Burma and Ceylon. Conference reports summarize the proceedings of the conventions held quadrennially to address the changing role of women in India and internationally. Following this, annual reports and conference proceedings discuss the YWCA's efforts to meet the social, physical, mental, and spiritual needs of women in India including assessments and suggestions for future work. The YWCA of the U.S.A. has an established partnership with the National YWCA of India, Burma and Ceylon sending secretaries to India for training as well as offering financial support. Requests are made for the support of the Anandagiri Conference Grounds in order to maintain the training facility as a place for women of all backgrounds to meet.
