Scope and Contents

Documents concerning endowments requests from the Y.W.C.A. of India, Burma and Ceylon, annual reports, leadership and physical education. The YWCA of the U.S.A. has a long history of cooperation with India's YWCA through training and sending leaders in addition to financial support. In celebration of their jubilee anniversary, the Y.W.C.A. of India, Burma and Ceylon is seeking an endowment fund to build a summer conference site. Later endowment requests seek to support a leadership training school. The YWCA of the U.S.A. National Board sends out correspondence seeking donations and pledges to support these efforts. Annual reports from the Y.W.C.A. of India, Burma and Ceylon often resemble reports made by YWCA of the U.S.A. secretaries and document and assess the efforts of the Y.W.C.A. of India, Burma and Ceylon to improve the spiritual, intellectual, physical and social welfare of the women in girls in India.
