Scope and Contents

Annual reports of the YWCA of the U.S.A. Foreign Division. The Foreign Division of the YWCA of the U.S.A. acts as an agent of the National board in cooperation with YWCA's in other countries and the World's YWCA to develop association work in other countries and to manage secretaries serving abroad. Management of the foreign field includes fundraising, communications and public relations, managing visits to the United States, and the training of leadership. Annual reports summarize and assess the Foreign Division program for the year including the budget and finance of the division. Other reports and pamphlets may be used as communication tools to members and associations updating readers on the YWCA activities around the globe and highlighting the importance of YWCA of the U.S.A. programs. The Foreign Division collaborates with other countries, other divisions of the YWCA of the U.S.A., other parts of the World YWCA, other international organizations and across international borders. These relationships are reflected on in the reports as are the political and economic conditions affecting international work.
