Scope and Contents

Attendance documents, budgets, bulletins and delegate folders for the World YWCA World Council conference in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. International conferences of the legislative body of the World YWCA meet periodically to unite under a shared vision and purpose, discuss and agree on positions of political and social action, hear updates from YWCA associations, discuss the relationships within the World YWCA and discuss the role of Christianity and religion in the organization and as it concerns women globally. Bulletins distributed to attendees prior to the convention prepare them for the topics and actions that will be discussed. With international political relations tensing and war looming, discussions turn to peace and international relations and politics. Delegate folders include documents summarizing YWCA of the U.S.A. convention actions concerning international relations, social action and social welfare.
