Insurance, 1920-1950
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning old age pensions, retirement funds, unemployment, and other insurance concerns in the YWCA of the U.S.A. Old age pension materials concern the adoption of Social Security benefits in the YWCA. Minutes and correspondence discuss the application of the Social Security to YWCA employees and discuss adopting alternative retirement benefits for employees not qualifying for Social Security benefits. Retirement plan materials further discuss the adoption of Social Security benefits and explain benefit eligibility and contributions. In addition, correspondence may address requests for changes to retirement plans, and a document explains the by-laws governing the retirement plan. Unemployment documents may include reports from the unemployment insurance committee, summaries of employee unemployment insurance plans, a comparison of buying state(New York) or private unemployment insurance, proposals for unemployment insurance, and articles explaining unemployment insurance. Miscellaneous materials concern all matters of insurance and may include matters of group insurance, household employees, automobile insurance, and other topics.
