Office Services Division, 1919-1950
Scope and Contents
The Office Services Division is responsible for overseeing the office management of the national offices of the YWCA of the U.S.A. Correspondence and reports concern the duties of office managers and the management of office equipment. The Office management Council is a consulting resource and decision making body for matters concerning office management and administration. The council minutes and reports concern the administration of policy, use of office space, office equipment needs and management, the purpose and functions of the council, personnel policy and working conditions.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
