Student, 1912-1933
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the constitution and governance of student associations of the YWCA of the U.S.A. Membership in an affiliated association of the YWCA of the U.S.A. during the early years of its existence requires membership in an evangelical Christian church. Student associations request an alternate personal basis for membership to allow members that do not fulfill such a requirement. Documents include bulletins, pamphlets, articles, reports and minutes discussing the proposed change in basis including dissenting opinions. Other documents include pamphlets concerning what membership in a student associations means and how to make the most use of a membership in the National Student Y.W.C.A. through utilizing national resources. Additionally, included are documents that address the role of the church in the local and national student Christian associations. The microfilm target is erroneously labeled microdex five and should read microdex six.
