Scope and Contents
National Board of the YWCA of the U.S.A. presentation concerning the Centennial Campaign Fund and documents concerning the John Price Jones Company's plan for the Centennial Campaign Fund. In celebration of the centennial anniversary of the YWCA worldwide the YWCA of the U.S.A. proposes celebrations, membership drives and fundraising. The National Board presentation provides an overview of the history of the Young Women's Christian associations worldwide and in the United States followed by an overview of how the funds raised will be used. Additionally, the presentations include documents and examples from the reconstruction fundraising efforts completed several years prior. The John Price Jones Company is utilized in a consulting capacity to present an organized plan for the campaign drive including an estimate of costs involved throughout the time of the campaign. Documents include their preliminary plans, a compilation of frequently asked questions with answers and financial and budget reports including their estimates of their time and resources to be used.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
