Conferences, 1953-1956
Scope and Contents
Minutes, proceedings and reports concerning YWCA of the U.S.A. conferences of metropolitan associations. Metropolitan associations often have one or more branches and have unique challenges of management, administration and support as compared to smaller associations. Representatives from metropolitan associations meet in two conferences to discuss leadership in large associations, inclusivity in associations with branches and centers, best practices for program and services and managing the challenges of metropolitan associations. Documents from the 1956 conference include minutes of planning meetings and pamphlets concerning the national program including the interracial charter, public affairs program and basic standards.
