Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the YWCA of the U.S.A.'s work with the YWCA of Argentina and the YWCA of Bolivia. Annual reports of the YWCA of Argentina to the Foreign Division of the YWCA of the U.S.A. provide an overview of the activities of the association, the needs of the women in Argentina and the context in which the association operates. Correspondence with Lenor Stok de Llovet covers more administrative matters, requests for assistance and smaller updates on association work. Addition documents include association reports, a five year plan concerning the YWCA of Argentina's relationship with the YWCA of the U.S.A. and an association overview including budgets, statistics and general policies. Correspondence and reports from the YWCA of Bolivia include a detailed report concerning the development of the relationship between the YWCA of the U.S.A. and the YWCA of Bolivia, requests for support and assistance and association updates.

However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
