Scope and Contents

Thirty-first annual report of the YWCA of British Guiana and correspondence and reports concerning the YWCA of the U.S.A.'s work with the YWCA in Chile. The Foreign Division of the YWCA of the U.S.A. aids and supports the development of associations in other countries through developing programs and leadership abroad with the help of American staff, financial support, advice and resource sharing. When the YWCA of Chile is in need of new buildings they appeal to the YWCA of the U.S.A. Foreign Division for assistance. Correspondence and reports include a report explaining the context of the need and discussion of the projects. Annual reports in English and Spanish provide an overall summary and assessment of the work of the YWCA of Chile. Additional documents include correspondence concerning Alicia Marin's training in the United States and correspondence reporting on the challenges and activities of the YWCA in Chile.
