Public affairs, 1951-1960
Scope and Contents
YWCA of the U.S.A. public affairs newsletters. Public affairs programs in the YWCA of the U.S.A. educate members on important national and international social, economic, political and health issues and call for support and action in activity that affects the mission of the organization. Newsletters highlight current public affairs issues providing context, background and actions needed. In addition, the newsletters clarify the YWCA of the U.S.A.'s position on certain issues or recommendations concerning public policy and legislation. Some newsletters are followed by supporting materials such as pamphlets, program materials or summaries of public affairs issues.
