Scope and Contents
Minutes, reports and correspondence concerning the YWCA of the U.S.A. southern region staff and associations. Regional staff, southern region members of the YWCA of the U.S.A. National Board and southern region field staff meet to discuss the status and needs of associations in the region, bring reports from conferences and conventions and review financial needs. In addition, meetings may include discussion of future development and programing. Additional material include program planning and notes for the regional discussion held concerning the 1959 World Council meeting in Mexico, newsletters to local leadership and correspondence.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
