Scope and Contents

Documents concerning YWCA of the U.S.A. student conferences, constitutions and bylaws, and finances. Conferences, trainings and workshops for members and leaders of student associations provide training, knowledge sharing and fellowship opportunities. Documents include reports, pamphlets and schedules for a seminar for teachers in training, a report of the history of student YWCA and YMCA conferences, and an outline and report of the Consultation on Human Rights. The Consultation on Human Rights is a conference for national level staff working with student associations to address the issues surrounding inclusivity and race relations. The administrative and managerial aspects of student associations are documented in materials concerning governing documents and managing and developing finances. Constitutions and bylaws define the purpose, name, structure and functions of the associations and national organization including sections defining the membership statement and requirements. Included are suggested constitutions with amended membership statements, a report concerning potential problems with the constitution and sample constitutions and bylaws for student associations. Finance documents include handbooks and guidebooks for local associations concerning financing, fundraising and budgeting in addition to posters demonstrating to members how donations contribute to the national movement.
