Scope and Contents

Documents concerning National Student Councils of the YMCA and YWCA (NSCY) summer projects. NSCY summer projects combine work experience, discussion sessions and group living to offer student participants a chance to expand job experiences, develop personally and spiritually and meet students from other associations. The Seattle Internes in Community Service and Industry project focuses on community awareness and social work training while the Martha's Vineyard Leadership Seminar focuses more on leadership development while the participants work in area summer resorts. Reports and evaluations provide an overall picture of the programs and some include evaluations of the participants, daily summaries and project highlights. Committee meeting minutes include evaluations of the management and administration of the programs, updates on planning progress and discussion of challenges and opportunities in the planning process.
