Scope and Contents

World Student Christian Federation constitution, consultation reports and history. The World's Student Christian Federation unites student Christian movements and organizations from around the world in common purpose and fosters international cooperation and understanding. The history and development of the federation is illustrated in a pamphlet celebrating its sixty-five years of existence while constitutions and bylaws with proposed changes establish its structure, organization and functions. As an international organization comprised of many student Christian organizations, relationships between member organizations can become complicated. The 1955 Consultation on Student Work co-sponsored by the World's Alliance of the YMCA, the World's YWCA and the World's Student Christian Federation examines the types of conflicts and rivalries that can occur in areas supporting several student movements as well as conditions for Christian associations in countries that are predominantly Roman Catholic. An additional consultation in 1956 studies the relationship between the World's Student Christian Federation and the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.
