Scope and Contents

Documents concerning the World Student Christian Federation Life and Mission of the Church Project. Recognizing many cultural, global and political changes that have occurred and the relative stasis in the structure and organization of the church, the Life and Mission of the Church project seeks to "reexamine the traditional structures and mission of the churches." The relationships of the National Student YWCA and the United Student Christian Council to the project are explained in memorandums and articles. Study guides to be used by participating organizations guide exploration of the biblical topics and principles. In 1960 an international teaching conference brings together delegates from organizations around the world to discuss the central issues and take part in theological sessions learning about the basis for the project. Conference documents concerning its planning, content and assessments and include programs, outlines, bulletins, reports and notes.
