Scope and Contents

Southern region area Y-Teen conference and leadership institute documents concerning conference planning, preparations, programs and evaluations. Regional summer conferences bring together Y-Teens across a region for learning and fellowship. Southern region conferences a broken into smaller area conferences and conference reports evaluate all area conferences. Outlines and notes from the conferences and institutes summarize the content of the sessions in addition to including evaluations of leadership, content and programming. Additional materials include delegate lists, pre-conference memorandums and bulletins, programs, pre-conference workbooks and conference schedules. Prior to 1953, the Texas Y-Teen conference was not integrated. Following a vote at the 1952 Texas state conference future conferences are inclusive and future reports track or report on African American attendance.
