Community Division, 1961-1970
Scope and Contents
YWCA of the U.S.A. Community Division newsletters and proceedings of a workshop on mid-sized associations. The Community Division of the YWCA of the U.S.A. is responsible for services to local associations that support their role in the community, facilitate relationships with other associations and the national organization, their administrative functions and their role as part of a global organization. "Memos to Staff," later "Program Memos to Staff" are semi-regular newsletters or memorandums to targeted groups of program leaders that share program ideas, give updates on national decisions or initiatives and share information regarding program planning for the associations. Memo recipients include leaders of health, youth, teenage, camp and general program. The Middle Size Association Workshop proceedings report on the workshop for associations in the central region with seven or more staff. The workshop brought together delegates from qualifying associations to share in practices and discuss challenges and opportunities in their region.
