Scope and Contents

Stenographer's proceedings of the third and fourth day of the twenty third National Convention of the YWCA of the U.S.A. Every three years delegates representing local associations convene to unite under a common aim, adopt emphases for the coming triennium, adopt resolutions, elect leaders, and discuss topics of national importance. Under the twenty third convention's theme, "Match Us to this Hour," the convention actions, discussions and addresses concern the role of the YWCA of the U.S.A., women and Christianity in the social, political and economic context of the world in the 1960's. This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
