World YWCA, 1963, 1967
Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the 1963 and 1967 World YWCA Council meetings. These quadrennial meetings bring together delegates representing national YWCA's to discuss the issues affecting women globally and in their communities, make policy and recommendations concerning the World YWCA for the following four years and exchange skills and ideas. Council reports summarize the proceedings of the council meetings and discussions as well as resolutions and recommendations passed. In addition to the official report documents concerning the 1963 meeting include minutes, speeches and correspondence.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
