Scope and Contents
Documents concerning the National Board of the YWCA of the U.S.A., its members, functions and sixtieth anniversary celebration. The National Board is the national governing body of the YWCA of the U.S.A. elected at each national convention and enacting the programs and emphases accepted there. The National Board's bylaws establish its functions, relationship to the national organization and administrative structure. Additional documents include proposed changes to the constitution of the YWCA of the U.S.A., a anniversary celebration skit and program, board member profiles and directories, committee charters and reports, and obituaries and memorials of deceased board members.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
