Student, 1966-1968
Scope and Contents
The National Student YWCA Amistad project sends students to Mexico to collaborate with students there in sharing skills and knowledge, developing increased international understanding and exploring social, political and economic issues. Director reports summarize and assess the program and information sent to participants in preparation for the trip outline the program of the trip, its purpose and logistical details. Documents for the 1968 trip also include evaluations of the participants, a daily log and completed application packets. The 1966 documents include the program proposal.

This collection is open for use without restriction beyond the standard terms and conditions of Smith College Special Collections.
However, by agreement with the YWCA of the U.S.A., microdexes known to contain financial records or personal health information (usually on job applications) were not digitized and/or not published in our online repository as part of the CLIR Digitizing Hidden Collections grant. These microdexes may still be accessed on the original microfilm, and digital files may be made available to individual researchers upon request.
